City Parks

I agree that we need to maintain our parks space and create new parland in Ward 7 Mississauga. An area of concern is the Central Park project whereby the City of Mississauga bought three residential properties in the area—east of Hurontario Street between Dundas the Queensway—to build the park. Residents in the community still oppose the idea and are not convinced that they should sell their homes to the city for this project, alternatively, many residents want to see this park built. My stance on this is to begin to build a central park and as owners sell their homes, expand the park over time.

It is my opinion that historic neighbourhoods such as Gordon Woods, Cooksville-Munden Park and old Erindale Village enrich our city and these historic neighbourhoods should be maintained and preserved as I believe greenspace is a fundamental part of a community.
